He is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine with fellowship training in hepatology from the University of California-Irvine.

Colonoscopy
The gold standard for colon cancer screening. Dr. Maher personally performs every colonoscopy and reviews your results the same day. Current guidelines recommend screening starting at age 45. Qualifying patients can skip the office visit through our Direct Access program.

Upper GI Endoscopy
A thorough examination of the esophagus, stomach, and upper intestine to diagnose persistent pain, reflux, or swallowing issues. Dr. Maher can often diagnose and treat the problem during the same procedure — including both endoscopy and colonoscopy in a single visit.

Dr. Maher's office accepts Medicare and most major insurance plans. Screening colonoscopies are covered as preventive care at no cost under most plans, including Medicare.
We offer same-week appointments for urgent concerns and a streamlined scheduling process for routine visits. New patients are always welcome.
